Applebee's Catering By The Lake
Planning a Summer Party? Make It Easy On Yourself!
This blog post is sponsored by Applebee’s. All words are my own. Enjoy!
We love to spend as many days as possible at the family lake house during summer. It’s a quick drive, and it’s always a ton of fun because there is usually a good crew there on any given weekend. My sister takes on all the cooking. That’s right, I said ALL. We don’t know how she does it, but she really needed a break! We were having several friends over, and decided that Applebee’s Catering by the lake was the PERFECT break for our resident chef.
In order to get our order just right, I first took a head count. We were going to be feeding 15 people. For parties of six or more, it’s possible to cater a meal for less than $10 per person. They only need a two hour window for ordering (and can take orders up to 14 days in advance). This worked perfectly for us since my family was going to be picking the order up after golf while I was home with the kids prepping for our lakeside meal.
The golfers gave me a 2 hour warning, and I went ahead and placed my order. It was beyond easy to do, and every option had a photo to go along with it, making ordering so very simple. They also give ordering guidelines, so I knew that for 15 people, I needed roughly two appetizers and two entrees, salads, or sandwich platters.
I new from past experience, and a reminder from my sister, that we HAD to get the spinach and artichoke dip. I also ordered the Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad, and two servings of Chicken Fajita Roll-ups. When my sister ran in to pick up our order, the staff was accommodating and friendly while they packed up.
Now, I am not kidding you when I say I over indulged in Spinach and Artichoke dip from Applebee’s. I don’t know if there is any more delightful of an appetizer out there! The texture and flavor is perfect, and there is just the right amount of salt between dip and chip. All of the food was a hit. Everything in our order was packaged nicely, and all the dressings and accoutrements were available on the side.
When we were bringing food in to put it away, my son INSISTED on carrying the chips. I knew I should have helped him, because he stumbled and the chips went everywhere. We were all so crushed for a moment, but remember we had other dipping vessels in the house so that we could consume every morsel of Spinach & Artichoke dip (which happened later that evening!)
Why do I choose to cater with Applebee’s? That’s simple. Fantastic food, great prices, and the ability to spend all those saved meal prep hours with with ones I love the most. Thank you, Applebee’s Catering!
