This year, we are going to be celebrating our first New Year’s Eve in our new home. While we could go out, instead, we are opting to stay in and have a low key fancy home celebration with our kids. Recently, I was sent a box of goodies from Whole Foods Market to try. They have a remarkably unique selection of products to make any gathering special during this holiday season. But first, run to Amazon to grab the below decor for arrival before the big celebration!

We are all about new traditions in our home this year. Our three-year-old toddler is just now becoming aware of the holiday festivities, Santa, and all of the get-togethers that come along with the season. All celebrations call for decorations, so I was excited to receive Papyrus confetti poppers and garland decor for our table scape. These are the first things that my son pulled out of our Whole Foods Low Key New Year’s Eve box when it arrived.

I also couldn’t wait to try the Sauvignon Blanc Sparkling Wine, Crunchy Terra Original Veggie Chips, Divinia Olives and Roasted Tomatoes, and Whole Foods Market Organic Chocolate Truffles. These are just a snapshot of some of the unique finds that are at each and every Whole Foods Market.

For New Year’s Eve, my plan was to make an epic charcuterie board along with King Crab Legs, and also to serve cookies for dessert. I made my shopping list and off to Whole Foods Market I went.

Can we talk about how much I enjoy being in Whole Foods Market? Each display is prettier than the next. They present their brands in a way that makes me feel at peace as I shop in their store. The cookie display inspires me to do better and the cheese display make me want to hit all my goals in life. What I am trying to say, is that, Whole Foods Market is my happy place - it makes me whole.

I needed help finding Uplands Cheese Rush Creek Reserve Cheese. I have heard great things about this soft cheese, and I had to have it for my charcuterie board. The woman in the cheese area took me directly to what I was looking for. She was very knowledgeable about all of the cheeses in her department.

I headed over to the seafood counter for my King Crab Legs. The man who helped me in the seafood counter was very knowledgeable about his products. I asked him about his recommendations for crab legs. He gave me his input on the Dungeness vs. King Crab. I ended up going with the King Crab legs.

I had some questions about preparing the crab legs. He suggested thawing them under running cool water (they are already cooked), and then serving them with hot garlic butter. He reminded me that their products are sustainably sourced. I was like a sponge, absorbing all of the crab leg info that he had for me.

When I returned home from Whole Foods Market, I began to prepare our King Crab legs. Honestly, crab legs are so easy to prepare. I will surely being doing this more often in the upcoming new year.

Now, for the charcuterie board. I love a good meat and cheese board. I always like to have a few fancy crackers and fig spread on my boards. I chose an applewood smoked salami, candied pecans, roasted tomatoes, olives, and a spicy cheese bomb.

This board had everything. For my table scape, it looked amazing with the Papyrus decor. Don’t forget the decor - it is exactly what every table needs on New Year’s Eve.

The King Crab legs were perfection. Even our son loved the taste once dipped in warm garlic butter. When I was consulting with the fishmonger at Whole Foods, he recommended using kitchen shears to open up the crab legs instead of crab crackers. The kitchen shears worked wonderfully.

Our son could not keep his hands off of the cookies that I selected from the Whole Foods Market cookie bar. Who could blame him? There were amazing!

Celebrating New Year’s Eve at home is something that my husband and I can cheers too. We have loved every minute about celebrating this holiday season in our new home. Also, our daughter turned one this month. We have so much to be thankful for.

And thanks to the help of Whole Foods Market, we have created new memories with our children that they can keep for a lifetime. We are determined to make the up and coming new year our best year yet. So join us in celebrating NYE at home with the ones we love most. Cheers!
