Two Months Old!

Time is a thief! Why does it feel like it goes by so fast? Because it does, folks! I am two months into maternity leave and have spent the last several weeks watching my sweet baby develop a budding personality. It has also been amazing to see my son develop a bond with his sister that warms our hearts. He often gets down to her side and asks me to "do a picture!"

There have been a lot of changes over the past few weeks, ones that remind me that I shouldn't blink!

Sleep: For five days in a row now, our daughter has slept from about 10 pm - 7:30 am! It's amazing to wake up at 7:30 or 8 am and look around shocked that she didn't wake up in the middle of the night to eat. This is a major win over here!

Eating: While awake, she is definitely eating every 2-3 hours. When she eats from a pumped bottle, I notice that she can take about 3.5 ounces at once. This little nugget is in the 90th percentile, and I can see why!

Two months with our newborn. Sibling Love!

Strength: Baby girl is so strong! She loves laying on her belly on the boppy pillow so that she can look around at all the crazy things her brother is getting into. She also likes to be propped up in a sitting position more and more. Looking up at the ceiling is soooooo last week!

Interests: She LOVES peek-a-boo! She has also been a super smiley girl when smiley faces look back at her. She also likes wearing her brother's old fleece jammies, but she does like to dress extra girly every once in a while.

Not too long ago, we headed to my work to visit my coworkers. It was so great to see them and for my son to see again where I work (he was much younger when I last brought him in for a visit). He loves seeing both his mommy and daddy's offices! It helps him to understand where we are when we say we are off to work.

House: We still live below ground. We think March is THE MONTH! Moving month! Fingers are crossed!! We thought December would have been our month, but here we are....three months later.....

They were all right. Never on time....never on budget. But one thing is for sure. This home will be full of love!
