Healthy Choice has been an ever evolving brand as people's definition of health continuously shifts. Back in the 90's, we were used to seeing product labels on many brands touting the "low fat" claim. We now know that "low fat" typically means "fat replaced with sugar". The definition of health in 2017 looks completely different than it did 20 years ago, and Healthy Choice is showing that they know what customers want with the launch of their new Healthy Choice Power Bowls.
People now want REAL foods. Consumers are not nearly as focused (or focused at all!) on seeking out low fat or low carb claims as they had been in the past. People want flavor, and they want meals that are higher in protein so that they remain fuller for longer.
Healthy Choice has recently gone through a brand "renovation and innovation" effort. They no longer place strong emphasis solely on "diet". Their new focus is instead on delivering high-quality foods to their customers that are based on modern recipes. The brand believes in creating meals that are packed with diverse ingredients such as ancient whole grains, colorful and unique vegetables, and lean proteins.
The newest line of products from Healthy Choice are the Healthy Choice Power Bowls. I am super excited about these new Korean, Cuban, and Latin cuisine-inspired easy to heat and eat meals. The first two flavor launched in this line are the Adobo Chicken Bowl, which has flavors inspired by Latin cuisine, and the Korean-Inspired Beef Bowl, which has flavors inspired by Korean cuisine. These Power Bowls are packed with nutrient dense veggies, proteins, and whole grains. One of the reasons why I prefer Healthy Choice Power Bowls is because they contain ingredients and look like meals that I would prepare in the home.
Korean-Inspired Beef Bowl By Healthy Choice
Healthy Choice went beyond focusing on flavor and quality when it comes to their new Power Bowl Frozen Meals. They thought the product completely through, even down to the packaging. The Power Bowls are packaged in bowls made from plant-based fibers (recycled bagasse and soft wood), instead of plastic. A+ to them for looking at the total package for this new product launch (pun intended!). I love when brands take active responsibility for sustainability in the development of new products. That is exactly what folk from my generation and others want to see.
And did you know, this month is Women's Health Month?! It's the perfect time to load up on the new Healthy Choice Power Bowls. Each of the new Power Bowl delivers over 16 grams of protein and 6-8 grams of fiber in every bowl. The chicken used is raised without antibiotics, the beef is all-natural USDA Choice Beef, and the pork is all natural pork loin.
Adobo Chicken Bowl:
This Latin cuisine inspired bowl is made with pulled all natural chicken breast with veggies served on top of brown & red rice, red quinoa, and black barley. It has a guajillo chili sauce and is topped with roasted pepitas. It is DELICIOUS! My son kept coming back for more bites as I was eating this Power Bowl.
Korean-Inspired Beef Bowl:
This bowl has flavors inspired by Korean cuisine. It contains tender braised all natural beef with shiitake mushrooms and veggies served on top of brown & red rice, red quinoa, and black barley. Is contains a gochujang and soy sauce and is topped with black and white sesame seeds. The braised beef is so flavorful, I could not get enough of this bowl!
Other Power Bowl flavors that have recently been launched by Healthy Choice include a Cuban-Inspired Pork Bowl, and a Chicken Sausage & Barley Bowl. Yum and yum! Be sure to get your hands on these convenient, ready-to-eat meals. As a working mom, I know how difficult it can be to create fresh and healthy meals for you family all of the time. Don't stress yourself out! Let Healthy Choice do the cooking tonight!
