The Best Bar And Counter Stools For Your Kitchen Island

It took me months to pick out counter stools for our kitchen island. There are hundreds of different designs and models to choose from out there, but I just so happened to get lucky enough to stumble upon the PERFECT counter stool during my long and grueling search. The stool that I am talking about, the stool that I am sitting at with a glass of wine on a Friday night writing this post about, is the Barclay Counter Stool from Modloft.
I have not been so lucky with other furniture in the past. When it comes to the couches that we purchased four years ago when we lived in our old home, I could have done much better. I now call those couches "the Barney" couches. This is because when these "gray" couches delivered to our home, they were more like the color of Barney the dinosaur than the gray in the store that we bought them from. It's amazing what light can do to fabric! But that was not the case with the Barclay stools!
I loved that the Barclay Counter Stools from Modloft came in nine different colors. I was absolutely torn between Blue Cord, Light Gray Cord, and Dark Gray Cord. In the end, I know that any of those colors would have gone perfectly with our new home decor, but I am so glad we selected the Light Gray Cord. I feel that they complement the colors of our kitchen perfectly.
When I first sat in our counter stools, it was love at first sit. The cords were extremely comfortable. You can sit in these stools for hours. And I love that the cords are soft enough that there are not any cushions needed for these stools. Have you seen their lime green cord stool? How fun are these?!
The Barclay stools come in three different heights. They offer a Barclay Bar Stool, which is 24W x 24D x 42H; 30 SH. They offer the Barclay Counter Stool, which we have for our kitchen island, in a 24W x 23D x 39H; 26 SH size. And they also have a Barclay Dining Chair in a 23W x 22D x 35H; 19 SH size. I love that these chairs have a back that is high enough to offer ample support, but not too high to obstruct the line of sight in our kitchen.
Since moving in a few months ago, we have had three get-togethers with friends and family. We get so many compliments on these stools as we are all gathered around the kitchen island conversing. We built our home to have an open concept, and these chairs at our island help to facilitate the good times when we get together with those we love.
I cannot gush enough about these stools. My advice to you? Check them out! They have so many color options, but after seeing and using the Light Gray color, it's a neutral enough color to go with a variety of color pallets.
