When my son turned one year old, we threw him a HUGE woodland animal themed summer BBQ party. We had 70 of our closest friends and family over to celebrate this milestone. My daughter turned one in the winter. We decided to have her party in our home. We had 60 people over for her Wonder Woman themed 1st Birthday party. It was SUCH a fun time, and we got it all together with the Wonder Woman party decor that you are about to see.
First up - her outfit. My daughter wore this adorable Wonder Woman Onesie, complete with Royal Blue Blommers, Headband, and sandals. This outfit is from Bee Cute Baby, and if you are planning a Wonder Woman themed birthday or costume, this is the cutest baby ensemble that I have ever seen.
My daughter would not keep her adorable headband, but she rocked her onesie and bloomers for the entire party.
For her smash cake session, I decorated the antique wooden high chair that we used for my son’s woodland animal themed birthday three years prior. I picked up a superhero pennant banner for the wall behind her chair, and then decorated with some tassel garland.
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I did not know if I was having a boy or a girl. However, I received several signs that she was going to be a girl. One of the signs was a Bumkins Wonder Woman bib that I randomly received in a gift basket. She wore this bib during her smash cake session.
We set up the dessert table for her party near the front door. All of the food was served up in the kitchen. For her party, we catered the most delicious BBQ that I have ever had. It was perfect for our guests - they loved it!
Of course, I had to get a blush colored #1 for her birthday. Classic basic Xennial mom move right there!
We has several different types of desserts at her first birthday party, including a Wonder Woman themed birthday cake. We kept it simple with the image of the young Wonder Woman edible print on the top of the cake. I scooped up a small sprinkle covered cake for her smash cake.
Of course, I had to match my baby girl on her big day. This was also a celebration for my husband and I. It is NOT EASY navigating life with two young children. I was able to find a Wonder Woman cape to match her outfit. We were twinning, naturally.
One-Der Baby Turns 1!
We had about 15 kids at our Wonder Woman superhero themed birthday party. As part of the kids treat bags, we got each kid a superhero cape, mask, and slap bracelet. They were a hit! These items were not expensive, and they made our party extra special because all of the kids got to transform into superheroes for the evening. It was a blast!
