This is not my first tattoo, but it’s definitely my largest tattoo (but not my much, click here to see my other two pieces!) Coronavirus made it seem like this vintage floral tattoo was never going to get finished - but it did and I survived to talk about it!
I have six different flowers and one fruit in this tattoo, and here is what they mean to me:
The large flower is the Gerbera Daisy. This flower has several meanings, but I like that it means cheerfulness. I tend to have a more optimistic outlook on things, the majority of the time.
There are two Anemones, which symbolize change. I’m always changing and evolving. Everyday is a learning opportunity, and what you do with those opportunities will point you in a new future direction.
The chamomile flower calms, and the forget-me-nots are a reminder to be courageous.
The carnation is for my four legged girl dog Heidi Bear. It resembles a mother’s love, which never ends.
I also have lilies of the valley, which is my birth month flower. Lastly, three raspberries. Raspberries are a symbol of kindness, but really, I got them just because I like them. In hindsight as I write this, I should have gotten cherries, because I eat them one, two pound bag at a time! Next time…….
